Code of Conduct for Students

The institute provides a healthy environment and facilities to students, but to avail of the facilities of the institute a student must abide by the rules and regulations of the institution. These are designed for the safety of the students and their fellow students and are liable to change without notice from time to time. The students are advised to keep themselves informed about the day-to-day instructions given to them through notice boards and the Institute website at http://localhost. Ignorance of any rule cannot be accepted as an excuse for breaking it.

  1. Students are expected to behave properly with other students and to pay due respect to their faculty and other staff members.
  2. Smoking, consumption of alcohol, and tobacco are not allowed in the Institution, Examination Hall, or hostel premises. Any student found committing a breach of this rule shall be expelled from the Institution.
  3. Shouting, whistling, and using abusive/offensive language are not allowed in or around the institute.
  4. No student should bring any weapon or sharp articles to the institute.
  5. Physical manhandling or hitting other students is not allowed on the institute premises; strict action will be taken.
  6. Use of mobile phones during class hours is prohibited and is liable for punishment.
  7. Stealing, misusing, destroying, defacing, or damaging institute property is not allowed and strict action will be taken.
  8. Students are expected to come to the institute dressed in clean and proper uniforms.
  9. Students must wear and display their Identity Cards at the gate while entering the institute and keep it on at all times inside the campus.
  10. Late arrival or early departure from a class is recorded as an absence for that period.
  11. The apparatus of laboratories and workshops must be left in good order after use. Damage caused due to mishandling shall be charged as a fine.
  12. All students must attend any industrial visit arranged for them unless previously exempted by the Principal. Notes on the visit shall be submitted within a fortnight.
  13. Students are responsible for their belongings while in the Institution and Hostel premises. The institution will not be responsible for any loss or damage.
  14. The student shall observe all safety precautions. The Polytechnic is not responsible for accidents in the Polytechnic, Hostel, Workshop, Laboratories, or during tours.
  15. Conduct inconsistent with general ethics, persistent neglect of work, or failure to respond to official notices may result in fines or expulsion.
  16. The decisions of the Principal shall be final in all matters concerning the Institute’s administration and regulations.
  17. Legal disputes, if any, up to the level of session court are subject to the jurisdiction of Hisar.
