CDTP Scheme
Community Development Through Polytechnic Scheme
Guru Daksh Govt. Polytechnic, Hisar is serving as a Training Centre under Community Development Through Polytechnic Scheme of MHRD, Govt of India .Under this scheme besides the running of non- formal training courses of six months duration for rural youth for gainful employment, Technology is also transferred through extension centers and Technical services are provided to the rural community. In the training programmes , the trainees are imparted training in the fields of IT, Domestic Wiring & Motor Winding , Farm Machinery Repair & Maintenance, Welding, Plumbing, Cutting & Tailoring, Garments making, Assistant Beautician, Refrigeration and AC repair and Carpentry etc. Application form for CDTP
PWD Scheme
PERSON WITH DISABILITY SCHEME:
MHRD has selected our institute as a centre to introduce its PWD scheme. In this scheme, persons with different disabilities can take training so that they can start their own work on their own without any help. Now – a – days, the students with disabilities are known as special students.
Year of Starting of the Scheme: July , 2001
Objectives of the scheme: The sole purpose of the scheme is to impart appropriate formal and non-formal Technical and Vocational Education to the Persons With Disabilities and to provide them equal opportunities, protection of rights and full participation in the building of nation.
Proposed Training Programmes
Under this Scheme, there are two types of training programmes for Persons for Disabilities.
A. Formal Training Program
B. Non-formal Training Program
A. Formal Training Program :- Under formal training programmes, 25 PWD’s are admitted per year in three years Engg. diploma courses in the trades of Mech. Engg., Electronics & Comm. Engg., Textile Technology , Textile Design , Textile Processing , Computer Engg. and Instrumentation & Control Engg. The following facilities are given to the PWD’s going under this program.
- Free lodging & Boarding
- Free books and uniform
- Exemption from tuition fee
- Scholarship @ Rs. 250/- per month each student.
B. Non-formal Training Program: Under the non-formal training program, 100 PWDs (Persons with Disabilities) are trained per year in different need base courses such as Cutting & Tailoring , Motor-Winding, Radio & T.V.Repair, Refrigeration & A.C. Repair ,Beautician, Chalk & Candle and Computer Applications for the duration of Three to Six months. The following facilities are also provided to nor-formal trainees.
- Free training
- Scholarship @ Rs. 250/- per month
- Travelling allowance @ Rs. 200/- per month
- Mid-day meal @ Rs. 1000 /- per month
- Tool –Kit after the completion of training
MHRD Scheme
Upgration of existing polytechnics scheme is centrally funded and being implemented by MHRD, Department of Higher Education for procurement of machinery and equipments so as to strengthen the labs in order to impart effective and efficient practical training to the students.
CEGO Scheme
The CEGO means Creation of Employment Generation Opportunity for Schedule Caste of the resident of Haryana.
A new scheme namely “Creation of Employment Generation Opportunities by setting up Employment Oriented Institutes/ Training Programmes” has been started from the year 2009-10 with a motive to provide employment opportunities to Scheduled Castes, under which Scheduled Castes persons whose family income does not exceed Rs. 2.50 lacs p.a. will be provided short term training for different trades like electric fitting, operator, driving, paramedical, automobiles, food processing, Air-Hostess etc. During the training, stipend will also be given to the trainees.
