The Department of Electronics and Communication of GP Hisar is commenced in 2004 and First Accredited Department in North India in 2019. From the very inception, this department has established itself as an efficient, self reliant and quality conscious entity with the sole aim of producing the most energetic, enthusiastic and professionally competent Electronic Engineers with ability to take up the challenges posed to them. We have well qualified and experienced staff. Electronics & Communication Engineering deals with the electronic devices, circuits, communication equipments like transmitter, receiver, and integrated circuits (IC), Electronics Instruments, Electronics Devices and Circuits. It aims to deepen the knowledge and skills of the students on the basic concepts and theories that will equip them in their professional work involving analysis, systems implementation, operation, production, and maintenance of the various applications in the field of Electronics and Communications Engineering.

Message from HOD

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at Govt. Polytechnic; Hisar. The Department was established in the year 2005 with the aim of providing technical education through research, innovation and consulting in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The department of electronics and communication got NBA accreditation in Jan 2020. The well equipped laboratories with qualified faculty members ensure hi-tech standard of education delivered from our department. Various workshops, faculty development programs and expert talks are conducted on recent trends in Electronics & Communication engineering frequently. Apart from theoretical concepts, the students are motivated to carry out research in various domains like Internet of things, Robotics, Microcontrollers etc. An in house training is provided to students to set up various projects in guidance of faculty and experts from industries. The students are also encouraged to participate in various extra-curricular activities and include them in different clubs. Educational tours and industrial visits are also arranged to get in touch with the latest technologies used in the industries. In order to prepare the students for industrial exposure, they are given personality development classes to enrich their interpersonal skills. The students are placed in leading hardware and software companies across the country.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO 1:To develop competent technicians for maintenance, supervisory and quality control in electronics and communication industry

PEO 2: To develop professional & ethical attitude alongwith effective communication skill so as to use their engineering ability and technical skill to improve the quality of life in society.
